Dorset Echo Industry Awards  Winners of a prestigious DORSET ECHO INDUSTRY AWARD

Guy Crabb Plumbing and Heating has won the accolade ‘Best Apprenticeship Employer 2017’ at this year’s Dorset Industry Awards which took place last week at the HIX Academy at Weymouth College.

Company director Guy said ‘I am thrilled to have won this accolade which recognises the investment we make in our apprentice training program. I personally have found it very rewarding to collect this award on behalf of my team as this recognises the hard work of all involved.

The valued contribution of apprentices to the work force is keenly supported by our qualified engineers who continue their ongoing training outside of college course days. Much credit to the success of all our apprentices is due to the skilled training and shadowing done by engineers on the job; this combined with our fantastic team in the office gives them a very stable environment in which they can thrive.

Through our support of their training we have a proven record for retaining apprentices over the long term, with the longest serving apprentice clocking up over 14 years of continuous employment, now with the role of a very skilled service engineer. This is turn enables us to give a quality and consistent service to our customers.
