Guy Crabb Plumbing & Heating have been our plumbers for over 20 years and are always fantastic, so when it was well overdue time to replace our bathroom & kitchen we didn't hesitate to go to them. Both jobs have far exceeded our expectations, absolutely amazing work. At all times the staff were fantastic, punctual, hard working and skilled. I am however going to give a special shout out to Andy who led the kitchen team, he is the most enormous credit to the company, we were so impressed with him, his work and his customer relations, a really lovely man to have around on an almost three week job. Whenever I drive or walk through Bridport, I always notice a Guy Crabb van. I wanted a number of refurbishments done on my bathroom, en-suite and utility rooms and being fairly new to the area, wondered who to choose. My neighbours were not any help as they all had poor experiences with one man bands or other small firms. So I thought why not try Guy Crabb, they must be doing something right with so many vans. We popped into their showroom on Gore Cross business park last June and left them a list of work to be done and asked for a quote. The very pleasant lady did tell us that they had a huge backlog of work since the pandemic and it might be many weeks before they could visit my home to quote. Well it was October when a very nice man called Mike Smyth visited to quote. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. 2 weeks later we received an itemised quote which we accepted immediately after choosing specific taps, wall panels and a pan at their showroom.
It was Jan 23 before they were able to start work and a young man called Shane was assigned to carry out the work. He was very pleasant and friendly but also very professional, methodical and meticulous in his work. It took 3 1/4 days to install 3 shower panels, a new shower, 2 basin taps, 1 utility sink tap and a new loo pan. He did encounter a few issues with the existing installations but overcame those. The invoice was exactly as per the quote but with the additional components used charged for. All in all, this was great work by a most professional company. Every employee that we either met or spoke to on the phone were friendly, happy and professional. The only downside was the wait until they could do the work. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely 100%.

I want to place on record my warm appreciation of the service I had today. Worried about a leak appearing in a ceiling, I rang you shortly after 9am. I had hardly put the phone down when a sympathetic Jeff arrived, diagnosed the problem, and went to work lifting a carpet, cutting a square of hardboard from the underfloor, and repaired the leaking pipework. The task was over quickly and the flooring and carpet put back. Nobody would have known that they had been removed. My wife and I are very grateful and glad that quick action had been taken. Charlie, Harry, James and Liam have done a cracking job. The noise was short-lived and they cleared up after themselves diligently and comprehensively. The work was finished yesterday and the stove fired up. By the time I turned in for the night, the house was warm, the water tank full of hot water and the radiators doing their job. I messaged my neighbours last night apologising for any inconvenience, but they replied that there wasn't any, one even replying "They couldn't have been nicer and were so quiet". The team you have knew what they had to do and each got on with the job in hand. I couldn't be happier with the boiler stove installation - it's fantastic!

On the Thursday before Christmas we had the misfortune of the tank in the loft bursting at 2.30 in the morning. We switched off the mains water and drained the tank and did all we could to stem the flow of water through our bedroom ceiling at that time of night.

We have emergency insurance and was informed that someone would be with us first thing in the morning. By 11 o'clock no one had arrived and when I contacted the insurance again they said I could ask my regular plumber to attend. Three quarters of an hour after ringing your office Jeff appeared and proceeded to take the necessary action to stop further water leaking through the ceiling.

Jeff came the following day and replaced the tank etc and again on the Monday to complete the job. He was pleasant, courteous and extremely efficient and a great credit to your firm.

With reference to work carried out to my shower I feel I must commend your employee Jack for his polite, friendly and cheerful disposition, his willingness to discuss his plan of action, both before and during the work, his suggestion to slightly modify my ideas, which I readily accepted and which resulted in a much better final result. His attention to detail, including overall finished appearance and final clear up, he is a credit to Guy Crabb.

I have just had my bathroom changed to accommodate a shower and I have to say that getting Guy Crabb to do the work was the best decision i could have made. The fitters did an excellent job and were polite, punctual and very tidy. I will not hesitate to use them for any future work.
